Hi there, I’m Alisabeth

In December of 2023, at 44 years old, after extensive self-testing (and years of research) I concluded that I am, in fact, autistic. I had always known that I was “different” but I just could not deduce how and why. I began reading the DSM IV, at my local library when I was about nineteen years old because I just couldn’t understand myself and I was desperate for answers. Seeking a professional’s help was, to put it kindly, unhelpful. I seemed to know more than they did. So, what was I to do? I continued my search until I finally got the answer I (secretly) suspected for a long time…Autism.

And now, it’s time to talk about it; how it has affected every. single. area of my entire life and how to best manage the everyday struggles all within the context of God’s grace.
